Simen er sivilingeniør innen konstruksjonsteknikk fra Universitetet i Stavanger. (Uteksaminert i 2021)
Under studietiden har han opparbeidet seg erfaring fra Veidekke Anlegg og CORE Technology før han startet opp i Concrete Structures AS høsten 2021.
Masteroppgave om numerisk analyse av skipskollisjon på bruer. Her deltok han også i publisering av en forskningsartikkel om kollisjonsrespons på bruer bygget i aluminium.
Simen har jobbet med konseptutvikling innen akvakultur i tillegg til analyser innen flytende vind.
